How much do your services cost?

We offer recommendations and quotes free of charge as part of our site visits. We charge for labour and materials and offer a transparent billing process. Our labour rates are in line with Landscape Ontario standards.
How do your deposits work?

When you book a service with us, we charge a 100% refundable deposit to secure a site visit. All deposits paid will be credited to your project invoice. In the event our quote doesn’t align with your expectations, we will refund your deposit.
Do you screen your crew members?

Yes, our crew members have graduated from the shelter system and are in stable housing. All crew members are referred to us by their housing worker as a strong candidate for the role.

Additionally, we have a zero tolerance policy for alcohol and illegal drugs on company property and on a job site.
Is this a registered business and are you insured?

Yes, we are a registered and fully insured business operating within Cambridge Shelter.

In our Backyard is a social enterprise that supports Cambridge Shelter's charitable goals.
What is a social enterprise?

A social enterprise is a business that is created solely for the purpose of achieving a social objective.

We created In our Backyard to employ Cambridge Shelter clients and to offer a solution to homelessness in the Waterloo Region.
